VELVET REVOLVER To Perform On 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno'
June 20, 2007VELVET REVOLVER will be the featured musical guests on NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday, June 28. Check your local listings for time and station. As previously reported, VELVET REVOLVER will also perform on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on the Thursday, July 12 episode (which will actually air the morning of July 13 beginning at 12:05 a.m.).
In other news, VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum announced on this past Saturday's (June 26) edition of Camp Freddy Radio, which airs on Indie 103.1 FM in Los Angeles, California, that VELVET REVOLVER will play a show at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California on July 4. No further information is available at this time.

The German branch of Sony BMG has uploaded audio samples of three of the tracks that are featured on VELVET REVOLVER's European EP, "Melody and the Tyranny", which was released on June 1. The EP contains two tracks from the band's new CD, "Libertad", as well as TALKING HEADS cover "Psycho Killer" (which was recorded during the "Libertad" sessions) and a video documentary about the making of "Libertad".
"Libertad" will be released on July 3 in two formats: a CD version, which will also include the documentary, and a CD/DVD version, which will feature a bonus DVD with a 30-minute documentary about the 2007 South American tour.
VELVET REVOLVER and ALICE IN CHAINS will team up for a North American tour beginning early August.
